Tourists, locals evacuated from flood-hit areas in Tusheti

The tourists and locals are being evacuated from Tusheti after heavy rain flooded the Pshaveli-Abano-Omalo road on Friday.

Fifty more people have been transferred to Telavi Airport, said Kakheti Governor Irakli Shioshvili.

Georgian Fire-Rescue Department and Border Police helicopters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are involved in the process.
