Tourism sector demands meeting with gov't

The private sector, especially representatives of the tourism sector, demand a meeting with the government.

Business representatives are ready to offer a safe tourism recommencement plan as the government economic team dropped this issue. In the first place, businesses demand the ski resorts open.

Winter resorts are in unequal conditions compared to others, the businessmen believe. Tourism representatives say they are ready to host guests in compliance with all government recommendations and regulations.

The private sector suffered huge losses. Many companies, hotels, or restaurants went bankrupt and closed.

Vice Prime Minister Maia Tskitishvili said at a briefing after the Interagency Coordination Council meeting that the ski resorts would remain closed.
