Tornike Shengelia set to join Dubai Basketball Club

Georgia national basketball team captain Tornike Shengelia is set to continue his career with Dubai Basketball, according to Sportando.

Shengelia joined Barcelona last summer and, under head coach Xavi Pascual, helped the club win the silver medal in the Spanish League. Ahead of the new season, Pascual took over EuroLeague newcomer Dubai Basketball and has reportedly requested Shengelia’s signing.

According to Sportando, the deal has been agreed, with Dubai Basketball set to pay Barcelona €900,000 as a buyout fee to secure Shengelia’s transfer.
