Tinatin Berdzenishvili: “Diverse Georgia “answers the question why does Public Broadcaster exist
The project “Diverse Georgia” is a very important project, as to have diversity of programs is the obligation of the Public Broadcaster , – Tinatin Berdzenishvili, Director of Media and Communications of Georgian Public Broadcaster made this statement at the presentation of the new project of the First Channel “Diverse Georgia”.
According to her, the project “Diverse Georgia “answers the question why does the Public Broadcaster exist.
“We have online platform available in seven languages, but this is a start. Number of applications are planned to be developed on our web platform and this project will achieve important goals, as very talented young people are gathered and their motivation is contagious. The question frequently raised is why Public Broadcaster exists and I think this project is our answer”, – Tinatin Berdzenishvili said.
The presentation of the First Channel’s project “Diverse Georgia” has been held at the building of the Public Broadcaster earlier this afternoon. Within the scope of project, the first broadcast of online radio- television in Azerbaijani and Armenian languages has been launched.
The project “Diverse Georgia” aims to insure accessibility of information for ethnic minorities, promote the integration process, increase civic consciousness and promote dialogue among diverse cultures.
The presentation was attended by representatives of international organizations, as well as diplomatic corps, including ambassadors of France and Armenia, as well as representatives of the Embassy of Azerbaijan.
