Time Out concludes sporting year with awards ceremony

GPB First Channel’s Time Out program traditionally summarized the sports season with awards ceremony.

The following winners received the prizes:

Breakthrough of the year – Georgian water polo team;

Victory of the year – wins by Georgian rugby team against six nations teams (Italy, Wales);

Legionnaire of the year – Davit Niniashvili (rugby);

Young Sportsman of the year – Luka Matkava (rugby), Giorgi Gocholeishvili (football);

Coach of the year – Levan Maisashvili, Willy Sagnol;

Important sports event of the year – EuroBasket 2022;

Team of the year – Georgian rugby team;

Recognition of the year – Georgian mountain climbers Baqar Gelashvili, Archil Badriashvili and Giorgi Tepnadze;

Female athlete of the year – Eter Liparteliani;

Male athlete of the year – Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (football), Tato Grigalashvili (judo).
