Three Georgian judges refuse to travel to US

Three Georgian judges, Nana Jokhadze, Tamar Bezhanishvili, and Konstantine Kopaliani, have declined to travel to the United States for an educational trip on April 22-30, said Supreme Council of Justice member Dimitri Gvritishvili.

“This is an act of solidarity,” Gvritishvili wrote on Facebook.

On 5 April, the US State Department sanctioned four judges: Mikheil Chinchaladze, Levan Murusidze, Irakli Shengelia, and Valerian Tsertsvadze, for their involvement in corruption.
