Officers of the Central Criminal Police Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested three individuals on charges related to the illegal purchase and possession of particularly large quantities of narcotic substances, facilitating the sale of drugs, and importing narcotics into Georgia.

According to law enforcement authorities, searches of the suspects’ persons and temporary residences, as well as operations conducted at various locations, resulted in the seizure of substantial quantities of illegal drugs as evidence.

The confiscated narcotics included up to 150 grams of methadone, buprenorphine, and dried marijuana.

Investigative measures also led to the seizure of materials allegedly used for packaging narcotic substances.

The investigation is being conducted under Articles 260, 260⁴, and 262 of the Criminal Code of Georgia. The offenses are punishable by up to 20 years of imprisonment or life imprisonment.
