Threat of avalanche at Mleta-Kobi section of highway

There is threat of avalanche at Mleta-Kobi section of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi highway. Traffic movement for all kinds of transport means is prohibited based on the information of Roads Department of Georgia.

Movement was limited at Zhinvali Hydro Electric Power Station earlier this afternoon that caused protest of drivers. Road cleaning works will begin after avalanche threat is lifted.

Movement is allowed in direction of Gudauri skiing resort. The crew of Patrol Police is ensuring security of traffic movement.
