“I consider this war can be stopped by the one who began it,” said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky when answering the question about his insisting on a face-to-face meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“I have insisted since the very beginning to have negotiations with the leader of the Russian Federation because I consider that any formats of the meetings through the mediators with Russia or just giving this or that information to the leader of the Russian Federation through friendly countries will not give the desired effect. I consider this war can be stopped by the one who began it,” Zelensky said.
According to the Ukrainian President, he would wish to finalize the war and there is a diplomatic way against the military way.
“Any healthy and sane person always chooses a diplomatic way because he or she knows that even if it is hard it can stop the losses of thousands and tens of thousands victims and with such a neighbor hundreds of thousands and maybe the millions. Any leader whether he wants it or not has the right to deny a diplomatic way,” Zelensky said.
