The first session of the new Georgian parliament to be held within the next ten days

The President of Georgia will schedule the first sitting of the Parliament of the 10th Convocation following the announcement of the final results of the 2020 parliamentary elections by the Central Election Commission (CEC). The CEC issued a summary protocol today, on December 3.

 

According to the legislation, the first session of the newly elected Parliament must be held no later than the tenth day after the official announcement of the results of the parliamentary elections.

 

The President of Georgia will open the first session of the newly elected parliament. The Chairman of the Central Election Commission will attend the session.

 

Members of the parliament will elect the Parliament Chairman by secret ballot at the first session.
