Term to receive booster shot reduces to 3 months

The interval between the full vaccination course with any Covid-19 vaccine and the booster shot reduced to 3 months, Deputy Health Minister Tamar Gabunia said Thursday.

According to Gabunia, the decision of the Immunization Council will be reflected in the corresponding order of the Minister effective from December 27.

Administering PfaizerBioNTech booster jab was previously admitted with at least a 5-month interval, while a 3-month interval was granted to those inoculated with the Chinese Sinopharm and Sinovac vaccines.

Immunization Council authorized the COVID-19 booster shots in November.
