Telegram founder: Georgia emerges as major business hub; economy doubled in 5 years with 8% annual growth
“Georgia is rapidly emerging as an important business hub, with its economy doubling over the past five years and growing at an annual rate of around 8%,” Telegram founder Pavel Durov wrote on social media.
According to Durov, Georgia remains underappreciated both as a tourist destination and as an attractive country for doing business.
“International technology companies in Georgia pay 0% corporate income tax, with just a 5% tax rate on dividends and salaries,” Durov noted.
Pavel Durov visited Georgia before issuing these statements.
🇬🇪Georgia is becoming a major business hub.
The country’s economy doubled in 5 years and is growing by 8% a year.
International tech companies pay 0% corporate tax and just 5% on dividends and salaries.
Georgia is seriously underrated as a place to visit and do business.
