The technical issue affecting Georgia’s 112 emergency service has been resolved, and calls to the emergency number are now being received without interruption, according to the Public Safety Command Center 112.

“The technical issue at the Public Safety Command Center 112 has been resolved, and calls to the emergency number are now being received without interruption.

“We apologize for the inconvenience caused,” the center said in a statement.

Earlier in the day, the Public Safety Command Center 112 reported that calls to the emergency service were being received with delays due to a technical issue. It provided several alternative phone numbers for people requiring emergency assistance who were unable to reach 112.
