Tbilisi Vice-Mayor meets British colleague in London

Tbilisi Vice-Mayor Irakli Khmaladze, together with the head of the Transport and Urban Development Agency of Tbilisi Municipality, Viktor Tsilosani, is on a working visit to London, Tbilisi City Hall reported on Wednesday.

As part of the visit, Khmaladze held a meeting with Julian Benjamin Pipe, the Deputy Mayor of London for Planning, Regeneration and Skills, to discuss the issues of urban planning and transport reform.

“Urban planning and transport flow management are two municipal services that London is one of the top cities to execute; throughout the discussion, emphasis was placed on these topics and London’s experiences in implementing and developing them.

The meeting also covered the issue of ecologically clean, paid transport zones, aligning to the ecological standard, which has been functioning in London for almost 20 years”, Khmaladze noted.
