“I appeal to the Georgian population. We have nothing to confront with each other. We should unify the country with joint efforts, return the territories and join the EU worthily,” said Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze at the municipal government meeting.

According to Tbilisi Mayor, Georgia proved to be a reliable partner.

“We have made numerous statements that we are ready for partnership, friendship, and healthy relations. I highlight healthy relations. Georgia has proved that it is a reliable partner country by its deeds, and we are ready for friendship, relationship, and strategic partnership. However, this should be bilateral. It is impossible to do anything unilaterally. The Georgian government is ready to fulfil a vital 9-step plan on the EU integration path. We are ready for the opening of the accession talks. I hope the Georgian people and our country will not face the same kind of blackmail as we did during the candidate status.

I want everyone to remember the events that led to the political use of the candidate status against our country and the Georgian government. These processes were manipulated to cause destabilization and confrontation. I appeal to the Georgian population. We have nothing to confront with each other.
