“The United National Movement is of no interest; it is a party of the past,” declared Mayor of Tbilisi Kakha Kaladze when speaking to journalists regarding the party congress scheduled by the UNM for August 5.

According to Kaladze, over their nine years in power, the United National Movement showed how a government ought not to behave, and today they are demonstrating how an opposition ought not to conduct itself.

“The United National Movement is irrelevance personified; it is a party of the past. This is the outfit that governed the country for nine years, showing everyone precisely how a government should not behave. Today, in opposition, they are setting an example for everyone of how an opposition should not conduct itself.

They are a criminal outfit. Today we are speaking about the August war, and I will say it again: through their policies, through the steps they took, everything they stooped to and carried out, their actions were nothing short of treason against this country,” declared Kakha Kaladze.
