Tbilisi Mayor says US Administration can easily remedy unfair stance towards Georgian people

“We remain optimistic and stand ready to start relations with the United States with a clean slate,” stated Mayor of Tbilisi Kakha Kaladze when evaluating recent remarks made by former US Ambassador to Georgia Ian Kelly and former Assistant Secretary of State David Kramer.

According to Kaladze, Ian Kelly and David Kramer do not serve their own country, describing them as representatives of the so-called Deep State.

“These two individuals, Ian Kelly and Kramer, are typical representatives of the Deep State, registered agents. We know all about this. They do not serve the United States, but rather the country’s informal rulers; this presents a significant challenge in today’s global landscape.

As for relations with the US, we remain optimistic. Numerous statements have been made confirming our readiness for co-operation. We are ready for relations to turn over a new leaf, because the Biden administration’s approach was fundamentally unacceptable to us. Likewise, the statements we kept hearing, which contained nothing but lies and falsehoods, were completely unacceptable.

The current administration of the US President genuinely has the opportunity to remedy, through very straightforward decisions, the unfair stance that was adopted towards the Georgian people and the Georgian state. I repeat once again: we remain optimistic and stand ready to start relations with a clean slate,” Kakha Kaladze stated.
