Tbilisi Mayor says unification of "two losers" to change nothing

Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze believes that the unification of two losers, leaders of the opposition United National Movement (UNM) and Strategy Aghmashenebeli, will change nothing in the Georgian political landscape.

According to Kaladze, the opposition faces “fundamental problems,” while the ruling Georgian Dream is the only political force that acts in the country’s interests.

“The Georgian Dream holds the real power to keep peace in the country despite pressure and calls to join sanctions or open a second front. Unfortunately, there are threats in the difficult circumstance in which we live concerning the second front or sanctions. The population acknowledges those challenges and the reality well. Georgian people know the price of peace and will always make the decision, which is significant for tomorrow day,” he said.
