Tbilisi Mayor says 75% employment rate achieved through Learn and Get a Job program
Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze highlighted ongoing and completed initiatives in the fields of culture, education, sports, and youth policy.
He emphasised that the “Learn and Get a Job” program, launched by the Tbilisi City Hall in 2018, plays a crucial role in addressing one of the most pressing challenges: employment.
“In recent years, numerous jobs have been created through policies implemented by the Georgian Dream government. However, employment remains a significant challenge. Businesses are seeking qualified specialists. This program provides insights into the sectors where the labour market demands strong personnel, offering young people opportunities to develop their professional skills and secure employment. Currently, we have a 75% employment rate. We believe this figure will increase even further in the coming years,” stated Kakha Kaladze.
