Tbilisi Mayor: Representatives of foreign powers cannot conduct politics inside our country

“Representatives of foreign powers cannot conduct politics inside our country. Get used to this reality,” Mayor of Tbilisi Kakha Kaladze declared, responding to the establishment of a new political party by Victor Kipiani, Chairman of the GeoCase analytical organisation.

According to Kaladze, Kipiani serves as a prime example of Georgia’s foreign agent network, whose representatives act on external directives.

“This individual is a prime example of how people serve the Deep State through their background and activities. Nothing remains hidden; everything is clear and transparent. The Georgian government will take steps and pursue policies that first and foremost protect the interests of our state and the Georgian people. That is the reality, and it is the policy that Georgian Dream–Democratic Georgia will continue to uphold through its actions and measures,” stated Kakha Kaladze.

He further asserted that the days when representatives of foreign powers made decisions on behalf of the Georgian people are over.

“Elections in this country are conducted fairly, and every political entity has the opportunity to run its own election campaign. Naturally, foreign agency operations will remain restricted in the future as well.

Representatives of foreign powers cannot conduct politics in our country. Get used to it, because that is all in the past. Gone are the days when a foreign state representative could issue a statement on domestic issues and have it accepted as absolute truth and an indisputable given.

That will no longer happen. Forget it,” the Mayor of Tbilisi noted.

When asked whether the new party represents a force to be reckoned with, Kakha Kaladze replied that everyone knows full well who funds whom and whose orders they execute.
