Tbilisi Mayor promises exciting Legends game for Georgian fans on May 16

Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze expressed his best wishes to veteran players and Georgian fans ahead of the second match of the Legends Series, set to take place in Tbilisi on May 16.

Kaladze shared his excitement at a press conference alongside former Georgian national team star Shota Arveladze, legendary Barcelona player Javier Saviola, and UEFA Champions League winner Jari Litmanen.

“It’s a pleasure to see teams of this calibre visiting our country and our beautiful capital. Barcelona has a rich history and has boasted many talented, successful players. Many Georgians support this club, and matches like these give fans a chance to see their favourites right here at home. I want to thank the players for coming. As for tomorrow’s game, I am certain it will be both interesting and spectacular. I hear Ronaldinho will join the team tonight, which is especially exciting for me—I’ve played against him and alongside him at Milan. It’s wonderful to reunite with those I’ve shared the field with, whether on the same side or opposing. Wishing everyone the best in tomorrow’s match. Georgian fans are in for a real treat,” Kaladze stated.

The match will be held tomorrow at Dinamo Arena, where Georgian football veterans will face the legendary players of Barcelona. This is the second instalment of the Legends Series, continuing the project launched in Batumi last year.

Kakha Kaladze, also a former captain of the Georgian national team and now Tbilisi Mayor, will participate in the game. The kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. local time.
