Tbilisi Mayor: Georgians have taken control - 54% of voters supported GD

“The Georgian people have taken control, 54% of voters supported the Georgian Dream,” Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze responded to the statement by U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Jim Risch that they are disappointed with Georgia lately and hope that the Georgian people will take control.

“This individual has consistently been defined by lies and deceit. As for control, the Georgian people have indeed taken charge—54% of voters, or 1.2 million people, supported Georgian Dream and endorsed peace and the country’s development.

The Georgian people said ‘no’ to the evil this person preaches; they said ‘no’ to the falsehoods he promotes; they said ‘no’ to the past that enabled everything that occurred in the country over the past nine years. With the direct support of that past, the evil represented by Mikheil Saakashvili’s regime unfolded in our nation. We will continue to pursue the country’s development. Trust me, relationships will be clarified, and many things will change. You can see the processes unfolding in the world, and the period following January 20 will be even more fascinating,” stated Kakha Kaladze.
