Tbilisi International Airport hosted a full-scale exercise, Tbilisi—2022. In this drill, emergency management was simulated in a two-stage scenario.
The scenario began with the threat of an aircraft explosion, specifically an attempt to deploy an explosive device on an aircraft on land, and ended with an emergency situation involving an aircraft—an unexpected aviation accident at an airfield.
Representatives from the Tbilisi International Airport Emergency Operations Center, TAV Georgia, MIA Security Police Department, Aviation Security Division, Emergency Situations Management Service, and other entities attended the training.
Tbilisi and Batumi airports regularly organize training sessions to increase emergency response efficiency and service skills.
