Tbilisi hosts 37th GCF Council meeting

Tbilisi hosts the 37th meeting of the Council of the Green Climate Fund (GCF).

Otar Shamugia, the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, and Mafalda Duarte, the Executive Director of the Green Climate Fund, opened the forum.

Mafalda Duarte thanked the Georgian government, noting that this is the first time the Climate Green Fund board meeting is taking place in the Eastern European region.

The high-ranking representatives from various countries, including the USA, Pakistan, Germany, Italy, Canada, France, Sweden, Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, Argentina, China, Great Britain, Spain, Japan, Egypt, and others, attend.

The Green Climate Fund is the world’s largest fund that aids developing countries in achieving their climate change goals.
