Tbilisi City Hall explained that parking fees or fines will not change by termination of the agreement with C.T Park. Payment of parking will be carried out in usual regime before April 10 on the account of the company and will be reflected on the account of Tbilisi Transport Company after that.

A new municipality service will be set up under the Tbilisi City Hall, – Vice-mayor Irakli Khmaladze said. According to him, the new municipality service will establish a new model for regulation of the parking system in the capital.

Khmaladze explains that Tbilisi Transport Company is ready to fulfil the obligations of the C.T. Park company, however, a new municipality company may held responsible for imposing fines.

“Tbilisi Transport Company is a very strong company with maintain management, technical and material means and human resources. Therefore, the most appropriate will be parking regulation to be carried out by the Tbilisi transport company temporarily.

However, we do not exclude establishment of a new parking regulation system model in the nearest future, which may consider setting up a new municipal service, which will be responsible for imposing fines,” – Khmaladze said.
