Tbilisi City Hall opens bids for international businesses to renovate metro stations
Tbilisi City Hall encourages international companies to participate in tenders for the rehabilitation of Tbilisi metro stations because Georgian enterprises are unable to take on such a duty.
Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze stated during a municipal government meeting that the funding from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) of USD 16 million expanded the subway station infrastructure improvement project.
The project will cover four stations, the construction of brand-new exits at two sites, and the upgrading of above-ground infrastructure at twelve stations.
According to Kaladze, state procurement for the technical-economic study and detailed design of metro stations is now underway. The deal with the selected contractors will most likely be signed in May.
