Cleaning of internal roads in the surrounding areas of the capital is ongoing, Tbilisi City Hall reported. According to the statement, streets, pedestrian crossings, and bus stops across Tbilisi have been cleared.
Employees of Tbilservice Group LLC are working around the clock using specialized equipment.
Due to heavy rainfall, several problems have arisen in the capital. A retaining wall collapsed near a residential building at Guramishvili #3 in the Nadzaladevi district, as well as at Guram Asatiani #26 in the Lotkini settlement. Landslides were reported at multiple locations in the Vake, Saburtalo, Gldani, and Isani districts. In Isani, a wall of a dilapidated house also collapsed; no one was residing at the address. Residents of a neighboring house declined relocation to a hotel. Additionally, a pedestrian path collapsed at one location in Isani, where restoration works are expected to begin shortly.
No injuries were reported in the above-mentioned incidents. District administrations have provided temporary hotel accommodation for affected families. Emergency coordination services and municipal representatives were working on site. The affected areas have been cleared, temporary fencing has been installed, and restoration works will commence in the near future.
Ecoservice Group and contracted municipal companies continue to process and remove damaged trees from various locations on a 24-hour basis.
