Tbilisi City Court to discuss reviewing November 7, Imedi TV raid cases

Tbilisi City Court is holding the next hearing in Georgia’s ex-President Mikheil Saakashvili’s case. However, today the court will discuss reviewing Mikheil Saakashvili’s case, accused of the November 7 raid on Imedi television company, Shota Tutberidze, one of the accused ex-president’s lawyers, stated before the trial.

The court raised the issue since one of the judges in a panel, Lia Orkodashvili, retired and was replaced with Lasha Kdliashvili.

The ex-president’s defence believes the case should be reconsidered, but doubt the court’s impartiality.

Mikheil Saakashvili is not attending the trial due to deteriorated health.
