According to Election Code, the president has the authority to present the candidates for CEC Chairperson. Based on the law, the 2/3 of CEC membership elects chairperson with the presentation of the president through secret balloting or the person is elected by the president.
Three candidates are presented to the parliament for consideration. The parliament selects and approves the person on this position.
