Swedish FM: We will continue supporting Georgians who want to work towards democracy and EU integration

“We will continue to support those people in Georgia who want to work towards democracy, freedom of expression, and Georgia’s integration into the European Union family,” said Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergård ahead of the EU Foreign Ministers’ meeting in Luxembourg.

Asked by journalists what Sweden’s main message is for those Georgians who are still fighting for their country’s European future, Stenergård replied:

“I am worried about developments during the last year. But we will continue to stand by those who want to be part of Europe,” said Maria Malmer Stenergård.
