Supreme Election Council announced Recep Tayyip Erdogan as the official winner
Turkey’s Supreme Election Council announced Recep Tayyip Erdogan as the official winner. After counting 99% of votes, Erdogan has 52.55% of votes.
According to head of the Supreme Election Council Sadi Guven , the remaining votes will no longer affect the election results.
In the presidential election Muharrem Ince went to the second place with 30.67%, presidential candidate Selahattin Demirtas went to the third place with 8.36%, Meral Aksener has 7.33% of votes.
Guven also announced that unofficial results showed five parties had passed the 10 percent election threshold required to enter parliament.
