Supreme Council of Adjara approves government

The Supreme Council of Adjara approved the Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic and the Cabinet by 14 votes.

Irakli Chavleishvili, a member of the Council from the opposition United National Movement party, who attended the session for the first time, voted against the government.

Tornike Rizhvadze was approved as the Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara. His four ministers, in particular, Jaba Putkaradze, Nino Nozharadze, Maia Khajishvili, and Giorgi Surmanidze, remained in office.
