Strong Georgia’s Elisashvili suggests contesting in six major cities, boycotting elsewhere

“Let’s contest in six major cities, boycott in the others, and support common candidates. In Tbilisi, Salome Zourabichvili is the leader, and we rally around her,” declared Aleko Elisashvili, one of the leaders of the Strong Georgia coalition.

“We are open to compromises. Should we only contest in Tbilisi? Let’s run there too. We must avoid leaving Tbilisi vulnerable. My ideal scenario is to contest in six key cities, boycott in the remaining regions, and unify around shared candidates. Salome Zourabichvili is the leader in Tbilisi, and we stand with her. We don’t want to speak in absolutes; we’re all in a process of trial and error. Let’s reach a compromise, agree. Unity is essential—we must come together as one.

We are proposing alternative strategies: boycotting in 63 municipalities, contesting in Tbilisi, boycotting in other regions, and running in six key strategic cities. Let’s set aside emotions and focus on the strategy for victory,” Elisashvili stated on TV Pirveli.
