Members of the Strong Georgia have appealed to the Parliament to renounce their MP mandates.
According to the statement, the members of Strong Georgia are requesting that their names be removed from the list of members of the “self-proclaimed parliament.”
“We are addressing the so-called chairman of the self-proclaimed parliament. The parliamentary elections held on October 26, 2024, were conducted in gross violation of the principles outlined in the Constitution of Georgia. As a result, the summary protocol adopted by the CEC does not reflect the will of the Georgian people. On November 25, 2024, a group of individuals convened in the Palace of the Parliament of Georgia. Despite the absence of an invitation from the President of Georgia, the 11th convocation of the Parliament of Georgia was held. I am also included in this list. I do not wish to be among those who have seized power, so I request that you take the necessary steps to remove my name from the list of self-proclaimed members of parliament,” the appeal to the parliament states.
