Strategy Aghmashenebeli's Vashadze: We have technologies to prevent vote rigging
This year is pivotal, and the Central Election Commission’s fundamental challenge is to demonstrate its readiness to sign the summary protocol that could change the government in Georgia, said Giorgi Vashadze, the leader of the Strategy Aghmashenebeli party.
Vashadze voiced concerns about the legitimacy of the CEC, criticizing its administration as illegitimate because of being led by acting officials.
“The current CEC administration is illegitimate because acting officials run it. There is also a problem that the same company, for some reason, audits these technologies in every country.
I guarantee the Georgian Dream and the Central Election Commission that we have technologies to help prevent any attempt of any single vote rigging. The year will end with de-oligarchization in Georgia,” he declared.
He highlighted the issue of over a million citizens overseas facing challenges in casting their ballots. Vashadze urged the CEC to promptly register Georgian citizens abroad and advocated for the early creation of overseas electoral districts. He emphasized the importance of allowing over a million citizens to participate in the elections.
