“The European Parliament’s resolution is yet another success and a clear response to all—affirming that there is no alternative but to unite in the common struggle,” declared Giorgi Vashadze, leader of the Strategy Aghmashenebeli party, in a post published on his Facebook page.

Vashadze emphasises that this resolution is the fruit of the relentless resistance of the Georgian people.

“The resolution explicitly states that Ivanishvili’s regime is illegitimate and lacks recognition. Europe recognises the Georgian people as the sole legitimate source of power. Once again, this day confirms that the regime is invalid both domestically and internationally and cannot sustain itself through any form of violence.

Therefore, the formula for victory is unity, the release of prisoners of conscience, and the scheduling of new, fair parliamentary elections.

The next step is the complete collapse of the illegitimate regime and the organisation of new, transparent elections.

Power must return to the people! It is time for Georgia to be liberated. We will win this battle,” wrote Vashadze.
