Strategy Aghmashenebeli says government should not isolate Georgia

“The government has to have a plan not to isolate Georgia. The opposition plans to protest until we get rid of the Georgian Dream,” said Paata Manjgaladze, a member of the Strategy Aghmashenebeli party.

Paata Manjgaladze said that the government hardened Georgia’s situation in the international arena. While thousands of people protest in the streets, Georgia’s should not be left without friends and partners.

“They called the Venice Commission, then NATO and UN a global war party, No ally is left to shake hands with them. The only Hungarian was Olivér Várhelyi (European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement) to greet them and now he won’t.

The opposition plans to protest until we get rid of the Georgian Dream. It has been said on the international stage. Europe and America are declared as the main enemy of sovereignty. America is 20,000 kilometres away and the Russian troops are deployed 30 kilometres away,” he said.

The member of the Strategy Aghmashenebeli believes that the US sanctions should extend to politicians and law enforcers, who extort violence against youngsters as well as businesspersons, who “feed the regime.”

“Everyone will feel that they are sanctioned for undermining democracy, and human rights. We will soon know names and surnames,” he said.
