State Security Service: Immediate response from international organizations and co-chairs of Geneva Talks should be made on the death of Archil Tatunashvili
State Security Service has released a statement regarding the death of Archil Tatunashvili in occupied Tskhinvali region.
According to the State Security Service of Georgia, On February 22, 2018 the representatives of the occupied Tskhinvali region illegally detained the citizens of Georgia: Archil Tatunashvili, Levan Kutashvili and Ioseb Pavliashvili.
“According to the open source information on 23th of February Archil Tatunashvili died in the hospital of occupied Tskhinvali district. For the time being, through the “Hot Line” from the de-facto government and Russian occupation forces the State Security Service of Georgia strongly demands clear and comprehensive information regarding the death of Archil Tatunashvili and illegal detention of abovementioned people.
The Immediate and principle response from international organizations and the co-chairs of the Geneva international discussions is crucial. According to the assessment of the State Security Service of Georgia, it is principally important that Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau experts are allowed to have an access on the ground to conduct the primary examination of the deceased.
