State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Tea Akhvlediani held an introductory meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Georgia, Mustafa Turker Ari.

The State Minister introduced the diplomat to the mandate and priorities of the State Minister’s Office within the state policy on reconciliation and engagement, as well as civic equality and integration.

In turn, the Ambassador thanked the State Minister for the meeting and the comprehensive briefing and confirmed his readiness to contribute to the further development of cooperation between the two countries.

At the end of the meeting, both sides emphasized the special importance of the strategic partnership between Georgia and the Republic of Turkey and expressed their readiness to continue cooperation.
