State Minister meets FAO representative

The State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality, Tea Akhvlediani, held a meeting with Raimund Jehle, the Representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Georgia, the Office of the State Minister announced.

During the meeting, Jehle briefed the minister on ongoing FAO projects and activities aimed at supporting populations affected by conflict.

“In turn, the State Minister expressed gratitude for the FAO’s work in the occupied territories of Georgia. She highlighted the crucial role of international organizations and partners, and emphasized the importance of continued engagement to restore trust and promote people-to-people contacts within the artificially divided society. The parties agreed to maintain close cooperation,” the office said in a statement.
