The State Security Service (SSSG) of Georgia says that certain individuals are spreading speculative statements regarding the death of a senior inspector of the Anti-Corruption Agency, which further deepens the pain of the deceased’s family, friends, and colleagues.
The SSSG expressed deep sorrow over the death of its employee, Senior Inspector Simon Tsakadze, and extended condolences to his family, relatives, friends, and colleagues.
“Once again, we express our profound sorrow over the death of our employee, Senior Inspector of the Anti-Corruption Agency, Simon Tsakadze. His passing is a great tragedy and loss for the Service. Simon Tsakadze had been working at the State Security Service since 2015 and was a worthy and experienced employee, distinguished by his dedication and high professionalism,” the statement reads.
According to the SSSG, speculative and manipulative statements regarding this extremely serious incident are being spread by certain individuals, which further aggravates the grief of those close to the deceased.
“We respectfully call on everyone to refrain from manipulative statements and to respect the memory of the deceased,” the Service stated.
Meanwhile, the Investigation Department of the Tbilisi Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation into the incident under Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
