The State Security Service of Georgia (SSSG) confirmed that it summoned Givi Targamadze, a former MP from the United National Movement, for questioning within the framework of an ongoing investigation.
The SSSG also clarified that they failed to get in touch with Givi Targamadze.
“We could not contact Givi Targamadze since his phone is turned off. We hope that he will learn from media outlets that he has been summoned to the SSSG over his statement. About the summoning’s purpose, he can view the statement which the Service released earlier today,” the SSSG said.
The State Security Service of Georgia (SSSG) stated in its earlier statement: “In recent days, various individuals publicly stated about the recruitment of personnel from other countries in Georgia, reports included accusations and hints of terrorism.”
According to the SSSG, it is examining the statements, and an investigation is launched.
