SSSG requests immediate investigation into Vepkhia Kasradze’s claims
The State Security Service of Georgia (SSSG) has appealed to the Prosecutor’s Office regarding a statement made by Vepkhia Kasradze, seeking to interrogate the author as soon as possible and clarify the circumstances involved, the agency stated.
“Even if the facts presented in the statement are assumed to be accurate in theory, they require a thorough and detailed investigation. At the same time, no one should hastily accuse their country’s special services of committing a serious crime. In either case, the statement demands careful examination, greater specificity, and, should any concrete details emerge, a comprehensive investigation,” the SSSG said in its statement.
According to available information, in 2024, Vepkhia Kasradze, who had been detained during a protest rally, claimed that the State Security Service had planned to kidnap his son.
