SSG Head: Statement serves as warning, actions will follow any violation of legal red lines
The statement of the State Security Service was a warning indicating that appropriate actions will be taken if legal boundaries are crossed, Grigol Liluashvili, the head of the State Security Service (SSG), stated.
He emphasized that the recordings did not come from the SSG but from groups attempting to disrupt peace and stir unrest.
“The message was simply a caution to handle the matter carefully—nothing more. The recordings do not originate from the SSG; they come from groups seeking to sow dissonance in society,” Liluashvili noted.
The State Security Service issued a statement regarding planned attempts by politically connected groups to release fake recordings featuring the voices and images of government officials.
