“In recent days, various individuals publicly stated about the recruitment of personnel from other countries in Georgia, reporrts included accusations and hints of terrorism,” the State Security Service of Georgia (SSSG) said.

According to the SSSG, it is examining the statements, and an investigation is launched.

“We are closely monitoring both the content of these statements, which are contrary to the factual data, as well as the motivation of their authors to accuse Georgia of such issues, especially amid ongoing military hostilities in the region, taking into account that none of the authors has provided law enforcement agencies with any information.

An investigation is launched, and the authors of the statements will be questioned. They will be given the opportunity to at least indicate some specific facts within the framework of the investigation,” the SSSG said.
