SSSG Chief visits China for Global Public Security Forum

Georgia’s State Security Service (SSSG) chief Geka Geladze is on an official visit to the People’s Republic of China as part of a delegation.

According to the SSSG, Geladze is participating in the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum in Lianyungang at the official invitation of the Chinese side.

“Within the framework of the 2026 forum, high-ranking guests invited from more than 100 countries are discussing public security governance issues against the backdrop of a turbulent global environment,” the SSSG said.

Senior officials from security services and law enforcement agencies of various countries are participating in the event.

Ahead of the conference’s opening, Geladze, together with China’s Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong, visited the third Global Forum Public Security Technology Exhibition held as part of the forum and familiarized himself with modern security technologies.

The exhibition was hosted by the First Research Institute of the Ministry of Public Security of the People’s Republic of China, according to the SSSG.
