No signs are observed in Georgia that citizens of the Russian Federation, Belarus or other foreign countries, who entered the country plan to carry out activities that pose a risk to the security, the State Security Service of Georgia (SSG) said in its statement.
According to the SSG, society has been intimidated by the existence of terrorism-related groups lately, but the security environment in the country is under full control, the agency said.
“We would like to respond to the deliberate misinformation spread in recent days about massive and uncontrolled inflows of citizens of the Russian Federation and Belarus. The public has been intimidated by the existence of terrorism-related groups, etc.
We declare with full responsibility that the security environment in the country is under full control. The State Security Service, together with other relevant agencies, is actively taking all necessary measures to minimize possible risks and challenges, as well as to fully control all persons at potential risk in the country.
