SSG: Occupation forces unlawfully detain Georgian citizen near occupied Tskhinvali

Russian cccupation forces unlawfully detained a Georgian citizen near the occupied Tskhinvali town, the State Security Service of Georgia (SSG) reported.

The SSG said it activated a hotline of the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) in Georgia and notified co-chairs of the Geneva International Discussions (GID) and international partners to release the detainee shortly.

“The occupation forces bear full responsibility for the destructive actions carried out in the occupied regions of Georgia and along the Administrative Boundary Line (ABL),” the SSG said.
