The head of the State Security Service of Georgia (SSG), Grigol Liluashvili, met with the EU’s special representative for the crisis in the South Caucasus and Georgia, Toivo Klaar, on Wednesday.
According to the SSG press office, the parties addressed the current situation in the occupied regions of Georgia and along the occupation line, as well as security concerns.
“The meeting focused on the so-called borderization process and regional challenges. The special role of the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) in ensuring stability along the occupation line was underscored,” reads the statement.
