The second Spring Session of the Parliament of 9th convocation will be closed during current week.
In accordance with the regulations, the spring session closes on the last Friday of June. Accordingly, the spring session will be closed on June 29.
Following the closure of the spring session, the legislative body will continue working within the in extraordinary format of the sessions and it is not ruled out that President Giorgi Margvelashvili will summon the session for the end of July, as the legislative body has to discuss a number of legislative and staff changes. In particular, the Parliament will have to approve a new Chief Prosecutor, to listen to the Public Defender’s Report 2017 and the State Audit Office report as well.
